Research, Innovation, and Economic Development
Under the leadership and direction of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Economic Development, we are responsible for overseeing 91ÖÆƬ³§ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´ functions related to research and scholarship.
We support sponsored research, technology transfer and other economic development activities, and the operation of the 91ÖÆƬ³§ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´ Research Park and many of the research centers on campus.
We are also responsible for building strong, supportive alliances with local, regional, state, and national business, governmental, and industrial leaders that will result in bringing funding, equipment, services, and other resources to the 91ÖÆƬ³§ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´.
In cooperation with degree-granting colleges and academic units at UL Lafayette, we work to ensure the 91ÖÆƬ³§ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´ provides a setting where quality research is initiated, nurtured, and completed.
