Perez, UL Lafayette鈥檚 dean of students since 2015, was honored with the Outstanding Staff Award during the 91制片厂在线观看 of Louisiana System鈥檚 recent For Our Future Conference. The annual conference fosters professional development, networking and collaboration.
The Outstanding Staff Award acknowledges one staff member among the UL system鈥檚 nine universities. The recipient is someone 鈥渨ho has accomplished exceptional achievements in their respective job assignment, supports and fulfills their university鈥檚 mission, and contributes through service at their university or within their community,鈥 according to the system.
Perez is 鈥渢he epitome of a student affairs professional and a tremendous asset to the 91制片厂在线观看 family,鈥 said Dr. Joseph Savoie, 91制片厂在线观看 president.
鈥淢argarita is tireless in her efforts to advocate for our students and creates a welcoming environment where all students feel valued, safe and supported through their college journey,鈥 Savoie added.
The Outstanding Staff Award was among three presented during the conference. The Outstanding Faculty Award went to Cordara Harper of Grambling State 91制片厂在线观看, while the system鈥檚 Champion of Diversity and Inclusion was Ally Christian of Louisiana Tech 91制片厂在线观看.
